With over 31 years of experience in the financial services industry, Lance Pelky is noted for his knowledge of retirement planning. He’s the guy you need to know, the one you can go to for a clear, straight answer and an effective strategy. He often believes this experience as “retirement distribution and taxation planning”; in plain English, that means Lance is experienced at creating a plan that will aim to provide income throughout retirement and do so in a way that complies with all the rules while potentially mitigating taxes.
Lance brings much more than just technical expertise to the table His background includes wide experience in other industries including hospitality and radio and television production. He’s faced many challenges and has seen firsthand the impact a person’s choices—both negative and positive—can make on their life.
A graduate of the University of San Diego, Lance holds his 7,63, and 65 designations through LPL Financial as well as life and annuity licenses in numerous states. He has taught college level classes at National University and Chapman University; made guest appearances on television and radio; and been featured in financial and industry publications as well as the Wall Street Journal and the Tokyo Times. He is is noted speaker. Lance is actively involved in the San Diego State Mentor Program and is a former board member of Girl Scouts of San Diego.
Varied interests and passions are still part of Lance’s life outside the office. He loves to travel and his classic cars—especially the 1970 Dodge Challenger. Lance’s family brings him great joy and shapes his positive outlook. His wife of 37 years, Eileen, is a wonderful baker. Her warm and generous spirit inspires Lance to remind people that “baking is love.” Adult daughters Mara and Madison bring great joy and many lessons about appreciating life. And he does enjoy doting on his hairless cat.
